Bohemian Dark and Moody Studio Elopement | Somerville, MA
Updated: May 15, 2020
The fear for the remainder of the 2020 wedding season is eating away at couples. You picked the date, booked the venue and now you’re stuck with dreading the idea of canceling your wedding. But what if you didn’t have to? What if (pending your venue’s agreement) you’re able to keep your wedding date and turn it into a romantic elopement or micro wedding?
We get it- it’s not first choice. Of course we all want to have our loved ones around, able to hug us and watch us shake our thing on the dance floor. However, some of you have been waiting for years for this day to come and there’s no reason you should sacrifice your dream. The solution isn’t the best fit for everyone, but for those determined to make it to “I do,” we are ready to help keep your date, capturing incredible photos to share with your loved ones.
With the money you save from catering, chair rentals, etc, you can expand your budget for gorgeous flowers and personal accents. Always wanted that floral archway? Now you can probably splurge for it.
Perhaps the biggest win in the situation is the fact that you get to spend more time together on your wedding day- what a crazy concept. Big weddings often leave the couple exhausted from making the rounds. Eloping allows you to focus on each other, the moment, the reason you’re doing what you’re doing together.
So long as you have your trusted photographer there to capture the occasion, you can share the story with your loved ones until you’re able to party in person together again. We’re ready to help any couple in a pinch looking for advice on how to rock a small scale elopement or micro wedding.
Check out some inspiration from this bohemian dark & moody elopement in Somerville, MA. This shoot was styled by Wild + Wed Events and took our breath away.
The floral archway by Sarah's Floral Design was a show stopper. Accented with disco balls, clean crisp white petals and dark ruby tones, it created the vibe for the rest of the day.
By hosting the elopement in a studio space (learn more about Warehouse XI) it allowed the creative team to make magic from a blank canvas. Plus, the couple could bring in their desired catering and treats.
Can we please talk about how incredible the dress was?! Reverie Lace makes some of the most insanely beautiful boho wedding dressings and this one was perfection. If I could get a redo on our own wedding so I could purchase one from her, I would.
This duo ended the night with a tapered candle lit dinner and drinks by the outdoor bar cart. It was cozy, romantic and full of their personality.
Now start day dreaming about how you can make lemonade out of those lemons. We got your back if you need a hand. No matter what you end up doing, your love will never be cancelled.
